I really enjoyed looking through the galleries and selecting some inspirational pages using Scenic Route.
I like the large, blended background, using one of the kit papers, in Golden Gate Bridge by msbrad. She also used a template by Lissy Kay Designs. The circle framing on top is quite unique. The winding road found in the kit is perfectly placed, leading the eye directly into the photo. Her clusters are so pretty, and I love the scatter and glitter placed behind. Enlarging the “S” in her title draws the attention there and finishes the layout off perfectly.
Rocky Mountain by Miss Pepper uses a gorgeous, large photo for the background of the layout. The photo is also blended with one of the kit papers. I love the way the reflection of the mountains appears in the sky. Placing the embellishments along the edges of the layout means there is nothing to distract the eye from the background. She used a shabby edge, included in the collection, behind her left side border. I like the way she placed the car element, ready to drive right into the page.
Norma chose the perfect paper in Scaling the Wall. The orange in the paper blends seamlessly with the photo as it fades into the layout. I like how the framing places the focus on the photo. The camera element supports the theme, and the newsprint from Mix and Match Edges frames the layout perfectly. She also included some elements from Nature Hike Collection, which work so well with Scenic Route.
I like the scene Kabra created in Yellowstone. She rotated the background paper to work better with her photo. The map border is the ideal backdrop for her vertical cluster. The track works to move the eye directly to the charming photo. The framing and greenery are the perfect added touches.
The tutorial used to create the paper in Traveling by franlk can be found here: Blending Use Pin Light. I really like the way it looks like the sun is shining down on the photo. The stacked papers and wooden fence back the photo perfectly. I like the way she tucked the photo into the cluster and reduced the size of the map edge so it could be included.
I’ve come to the end of my post, and I hope you are inspired to pull out those older photos or prepare for the future trips already planned. Thanks and have a great week.
