One of the fun things about traveling is experiencing all that is different about another culture, including their foods. I like to take photos of my favorite meals, when I am on vacation. I usually try to do it quickly, so I am not too obvious. That, most often, leads to photos that are “memory snapshots,” rather than works of art.
I took this picture of a wonderful lobster dinner I had while in the Galapagos Islands. When I look at the photo, I can smell the fresh ocean breeze, as we enjoyed this meal on an outdoor patio. I remember the fresh taste of the lobster, and how delicious it was. I don’t see a fabulous photograph though.
For this reason, the article 10 Tips for Food Photography When Traveling caught my eye today. Next time I am on vacation, I will try to do a better job of capturing my dining experiences.
