Whenever I see railroad tracks, I am drawn to them. I’m not really sure why that is. Maybe it is because they disappear into infinity, and I wonder where I would go and what I would see if I followed them to their end.
I saw a lot of train and subway tracks when we on vacation this summer, and I noticed that many of my photos looked alike. They were, in truth, rather boring. That’s why this article How to Photograph Railroad Tracks caught my attention this week.
I went in search of some of my photos and found this one that I shot in New York’s underground train station. It doesn’t follow all of the suggested rules in the article, but I do like it. If I ever get back to New York, I’ll be better prepared though!
