Good morning. I hope you are all recovered from the recent shopping frenzy offered by both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now you can sit back and relax while I inspire you with layouts using Sweet Christmas, a gorgeous collab by SnickerdoodleDesigns and Linda Cumberland. I can’t believe the holiday is fast approaching which means you will need this Collection either for this year or years past if you are behind like me.
Sweet Christmas is available and on sale at:
This layout by Jenni is amazing. The way she extracted and masked the photo so that Santa’s hat is popping out of the frame is so creative. Her clusters are gorgeous. The red poinsettias work so well with the page frame she created by using the red papers. The sparkly title completes the page flawlessly.
This layout by Bright Eyes is very serene. I like the way she added the striped page border to the neutral background paper. The masked photo of the deer in the snow is so lovely and the corresponding silhouette of the deer is actually one of the accents available in the kit. I like the circle scribble and the way the lamp appears to be hanging from it. Adding the verse opposite the title guides us across the entire page.
This layout by franlk features an adorable photo. I like that she framed it and placed it an angle while tucking it into her cluster. There are many blended papers available in the kit but Linda took it even further by blending some of the papers herself. The red band in the center of the page is especially striking.
The shadowing of the charming photo in Norma’s layout is fantastic; the corner really lifts off the page just like in a paper page. The blended kit paper she chose is so pretty. Adding the clusters at the corners of the photo moves the eye diagonally down the page.
The large photo featured in this layout by Kythe is so striking. I don’t speak the language but I assume this is a recipe in the making. The artist used one of the kit alphas to create her title which complements the page so well. I really like the way she edged the curved borders in gold and her cluster is outstanding.
My final page is by Linda Cumberland herself and it’s always exciting to see a designer scrap with her own products. The background is one of the kit papers (bokeh included) with one of the Sweet Christmas Edgers applied. Placing the stacked frames atop the stacked paper pieces is very creative. I like the way the Santa hat bursts out of the frame. The punched border pieces make the perfect foundation for the vertical cluster. Linda also used one of the kit alphas (there are five alphas in the kit) to create her title.
Did you see the Sweet Christmas freebie on the blog yesterday? If not, hop over and pick it up. This beautiful cluster was created for you by CTM Lynn. Click on the image below to download.
I hope you are feeling as inspired as I am. Thanks for reading along and as always have a wonderful and creative week.
