Summer is fast approaching in this part of the world and along with summer comes vacations. Whether you travel near or far I hope you take photos to preserve your memories.
It’s Monday so I’m back on the blog and today I would like to feature a collection from Snickerdoodle Designs that will help you get your photos off your camera and onto your scrapbook pages.
The Scenic Route Collection is available at:
The Scenic Route Collection is the best value and is always available at special pricing. Karen has also made the Scenic Route Kit available at special pricing just so you can get ready for those upcoming summer memories.
As I was browsing the galleries looking for samples, one thing I noticed was that this collection has been used to create pages spanning several years since its release so I assume it will become a staple in your stash.
I love the sketchy photo treatment in Venice by Lella. The background papers she blended give an overall watercolor look to the page that works so well with the photo. The large cluster in the corner is perfectly shadowed and I like how she included the butterfly in two sizes. The linear doodles work to frame the page. If you are hoping to recreate the look of this page you will also need the free mini kit offered by Snickerdoodle at The Digichick in October of 2015.
The angled page design in Travel Savannah by Donnatopia is outstanding. I love the way the alpha title takes center stage with the photos and papers angled and placed along the edges of the page. She also used the free mini kit as well as the complete collection. The element clusters are placed in triangle formation which walks the eye through the page. I like her list of favorites and the way she pinned the postcard to the page.
I believe msbrad has created an entire book using this collection based on the number of layouts I found in the galleries. I’ll show you just one here, Key West Lighthouse. I really like the way she stacked a number of the papers as a foundation for her stitched photo. The title on the banner points to the photo. I like the bracket shape behind the stack and the compass she added at the top. The flower clusters and other bits scattered about finish off the layout just right. She used a template by Lissy Kay Designs in creating her page.
If you love alphas as much as I do you will be excited to learn that there are five alphas included in the Scenic Route Collection. Here is a darling siggy created by dj_w using one of the alphas. She also used Snickerdoodle Designs’ Spring-A-Ling Collection. I really like the brushwork behind with the adorable elements placed on top and at either side of her name.
I hope you have enjoyed my post for today and have some fun planned for the summer. Thanks and have a great week!
