Did you know that SnickerdoodleDesigns offers monthly specials? Yep! You can find the information on her Facebook Page. This month, in keeping with the monthly Valentine’s theme, she is offering: , Forever Friends, Good Friends and Follow Your Heart. I love all these collections so it was a bit difficult to choose which one to feature on the blog today. For no particular reason, I chose Good Friends. It’s available at a very special price at:
I’ll begin with this lovely white space layout by TraceyB. I like that she kept to a palette of just two colors, red/pink and blue. Using white for her background really makes her simple cluster pop. I like the way she placed the photo on top of the frame and then layered the elements both behind and in front. The brushwork is so pretty and the red heart scatter completes the layout flawlessly.
The texture in this layout by Judy is amazing. The blended paper actually comes with the kit but she added even more interest by using the brush work in black and adding the stitched frame. Her cluster is so dainty and pretty and the word art works just right with her precious photo.
I like the way Bright Eyes stacked the papers in her layout creating an interesting border on two sides of the page. She used another of the blended papers that are part of the kit as the foundation for her page. I like the way she combined the masked and framed photos. Placing her cluster behind the framed photo is a great technique. She created her own title work to finish off her page. I like that it’s in yellow which makes it pop against the blue paper.
I like the page design in this layout by chickie. She used the colorful stacked frames that are included in the kit. I like the way she used the brushwork to add interest to her background paper. The cluster across the bottom of the photo is perfectly shadowed. I love the way she combined the word strips from the kit to create her journaling.
I love the heritage photos dj used in her layout. She also used a template by Heartstrings Scrap Art. I like the way her photos and cluster cascade down the side of the page. The ribbons remind me of bookmarks and I like the little bit of trim down the right hand side of the page. Tucking in the journal card is a great touch. I also like the way she combined the word art to create her own.
I decided to show you just one more layout. This one is by Tracey and she also used a template by Heartstrings Scrap Art. I love the large photo and the way she placed the brushwork and word strips in an empty spot in the photo. I also like the way she placed her clusters horizontally across the page to frame the photo.
I hope you have found these layouts inspiring and that you will check out these kits and decide to add one or more to your collection. Thanks and have a great week!
