As a child, I enjoyed many camping trips with my family. We would pack up the truck, head up the mountains, and set up our tent. We cooked over campfires (well, my Mom did), and we heated water over the same fire so we could wash dishes. (That was my job!). I spent my days climbing massive boulders, taking pictures of squirrels, and trying to see images in the clouds. “Gone Camping” pays tribute to those wonderful memories.
Although I still love being outdoors in nature, and still love camping, my “camping” today is a bit different than when I was young. Now I “camp” in a travel trailer that has a bed, a shower, refrigerator, and air conditioner. I have electricity so I can take my laptop with me, and I check my cell phone to see if I have Internet service. I do still take hikes, look at the clouds, and roast the occasional marshmallow though!
I’ve just put a little mini-kit, Gone Camping, in my store as a tribute to those days. It is priced at just $2.00, but with my current store sale of 40% off, you can pick it up for just $1.20. It’s perfect for those outdoor photos you may have, whether you go camping or not.
** This mini was my contribution to the DST July Blog Train. You may already have it! 😉
